Dental Specialist dedicated to infants, children, adolescents & children with special healthcare needs.
Dr. Poulos is a pediatric dentist, specializing in the treatment and prevention of dental disease, as well as the overall oral health of children. Through extra years of schooling, training, experience, and certification, a pediatric dentist is uniquely qualified to treat the dental needs of infants, children, and adolescents.
Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist?
A pediatric patient not only has a different dentition than adults but he/she may have specific dental and behavioral needs that are unique to a child. These needs may include orthodontics, dental sealants, fluoride applications or home treatments, or just simply education in oral hygiene. In addition to treating existing dental problems, our office focuses on prevention through patient and parent education.
We like to feel that you and your child do not come to our office to have their “cavities fixed” but rather to prevent them. Our mission is to provide all of the educational tools necessary for our patients to enjoy a cavity-free future.
What is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist?
When a Pediatric Dentist is Board Certified it means that the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry or ABPD certifies that the dental care being provided is based on standards of excellence that lead to high quality oral health care for infants, children, adolescents and patients with special health care needs. Certification by the ABPD provides assurance to the public that a Pediatric Dentist, like Dr. Poulos, has successfully completed accredited training and a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to the delivery of quality patient care.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry encourages parents and other care providers to help every child establish a dental home by 12 months of age. Establishing a dental home provides some key components to dental care for your child including...
• Comprehensive oral health care including acute
care and preventive services.
• Individualized preventive dental health program
based upon a caries-risk assessment.
• Anticipatory guidance regarding growth
and development.
• Plan for acute dental trauma (emergencies).
• Dietary counseling.
• Referrals to dental specialists when care cannot
directly be provided within the dental home.
• Referral at an age determined by patient, parent,
and pediatric dentist.

Everyone is wonderful.
They have always been very kind to each of my children, always making them comfortable.
I initially chose this dentist after checking 4 different dental offices for my son, then 1yr old, who has Asperger’s syndrome. Dr. Ron was so kind that my son did as he asked.
12 yrs later, they are still wonderful.

Kind, patient, and knowledgeable pediatric practice!
So glad we found Dr. Ron’s practice after a few other tries around town.
His staff, especially Rebecca’s hygiene team, really knew how to engage our kiddos (6 and 8) and make them comfortable in what had previously been one of their least favorite experiences. Their experience is evident.
We’ve found our pediatric dental home.

Amazing service and care with my 7 year old.
We were patients at another local office and had an unpleasant experience. We came here for a second opinion.
Service was great, no tears by my 7 year old and it was significantly less expensive.

Everyone on the staff is incredibly friendly and great with children.
I love the way they talk to my kids and do everything possible to help keep them comfortable during their visit but also the way they keep me in the loop and explain what’s going on, too.
I couldn’t ask for a better pediatric dental experience.

Everyone working at this office is exceptionally kind. Dr. Ron did a great job explaining options and our care plan.
Cheryl at checkout was thorough and made sure I understood next steps.
We will continue using their services, as I liked how we were treated.
